Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Makers Art School (“we”, “us”) is operated by Lisa Henshall. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we need to run courses, mentoring sessions and field days. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR.

What we collect

  • Your name and email address (when you book or sign up)
  • Payment information, processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store full card details
  • Booking details such as the course, mentoring session or field day you’ve chosen
  • Optional messages or notes you send us directly

How we use your data

  • To process bookings and payments
  • To send booking confirmations and practical information about your session
  • To send newsletters via Klaviyo — only if you’ve opted in
  • To respond to enquiries you send us

Sharing your data

We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. We share the minimum necessary information with trusted providers that help us run the school:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Klaviyo — newsletter delivery (only if you opt in)
  • Supabase — secure database and authentication

Where your data is stored

Account, booking and profile data is stored securely in our database, hosted by Supabase. Access is restricted and protected by industry-standard security controls.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to stop using it for marketing. To make a request, email lisa@makersartschool.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only — there’s no advertising or cross-site tracking. See the Cookie Policy for the full list.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
